Insights

In this last week of 2011, we have the opportunity to create anew. To recreate ourselves, our cultures, ways of being, great creativity in how we source food, energy, and other needs so that we are freer to evolve and grow spiritually, and to enjoy and support other people and our planet.

I believe we can live lives less work for currency oriented to free ourselves of the pay to live another day to work another day system. We can create a work to live system that is in balance for work to free time ratio. This would reduce stress. Free up thought for positive action. Free up time for positive action and much needed change.

Blurtations

Blurtations are those things that suddenly appear obvious or we have always wanted to say about political or cultural practices. Or comment on social practices or beliefs that suddenly feel restrictive and unnecessary. This is a column to say or discuss ways that society, culture, laws, financial practices, are unfair or don't make sense or needlessly control, harm humanity, or control our evolution.

Example: We used to buy television cable service to avoid commercials and enjoy a show or movie uninterrupted. Now we pay these companies to show us commercials and were not asked if we approve before this change was implemented. There are millions of these injustices foisted upon us all the time. They will not change if we don't notice, don't say anything, or remove the service with notice as to why.

Another example: Why is it a problem to me if 2 people I don't know are gay and decide to marry. The only reason it is a problem is because I have decided to make it one. I have to have an opinion about something that has no effect on me and control your life because I feel threatened that you are different.
